Elementary level class consists of an average of 13 students per class, with students ranging from 7-13 years of age. We do not believe in purely lecturing during classes, but rather want each student to feel that learning English can be fun! To achieve this, we always include a variety of games or songs that incorporate our main lesson of the day. Specific topics for these Elementary classes include a variety of topics to help develop their vocabulary. The games we play are designed to help with their listening skills and also help them learn common phrases or directions in English.
Examples of topics:
- Family member names (mother, father, sister, brother, uncle, ect…)
- Farm animals, fruits and vegetables
- Body parts
- Days of the week, months and seasons
- Colors
- Numbers
- Insects
- Shapes
- Environment discussion about recycling (students who bring in a bag of recyclable products recieve a small ‘Thank You’ gift!)
